Sammy Kioko known for his comedy skits with Tom Daktari has come out to highlight the loss incurred in one Wamusyi show.
In an interview with Oga Obinna, Kioko highlighted how he and Tom Daktari had made losses with the aim of entertaining people in their Wamusyi Show.
Kioko revealed that they incurred a loss of close to 1 million in the Wamusyi Show after parting with 2.5 million.
“In terms of money loss, I have lost a lot of money close to above 2 million in content creation and have encountered loss,” Kioko said.
“Like in the Wamusyi Show the highest amount of money we have invested is 2.5 million and we made a loss of 600,000 to 1 million and that was a lot of money,” he added.
The comedian said this was after a key sponsor pulled out at the last minute something which they had not anticipated.
However, he says despite the challenges the show has propelled them to the spotlight and they have gotten a lot of business like MC gigs for events thanks to the show’s publicity.
