Rigathi: Ruto is Betting on Kawaya as Ukambani’s New Kingpin

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has claimed that President William Ruto is betting on Mwala MP Eng. Vincent Musyoka (Kawaya) as the new Ukambani kingpin.

Speaking in Tseikuru at Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s home, Rigathi alleged that he differed with the President on who to be their pointman in Ukambani, as he proposed ex-Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama and the President Mwala MP Kawaya.

“Ruto says the leader of Ukambani is Kawaya, that is disrespect. As Deputy President, i asked Ruto why he could not give Muthama a big job so that he acts as Ukambani leader if he didn’t want to work with Kalonzo. He said, Forget about Muthama, Kawaya is the leader of Ukambani.” Rigathi alleged.

Rigathi further claimed that the President’s Ukambani tour was postponed because there were no projects done by the government in Ukambani.

“He wanted to come to Ukambani, and the leaders told him to wait, as he would have trouble if he came now, as the government has not done anything in Ukambani. Has he built any roads, water projects, or electricity? Likes of Kawaya told him to wait a bit. “He added.

He advised locals to be paid when the President comes just like he advised Mt. Kenya people ahead of the Presidents visit.
