Machakos Deputy Majority leader Resigns, Fingers Wavinya

In a bold and dramatic move, Tala Ward MCA Jackson Ndaka has resigned as the Deputy Majority Leader in the Machakos County Assembly, citing unbearable frustrations and failed development projects.

Speaking before an emotionally charged crowd in Tala, Ndaka declared he would no longer be part of a leadership that he says thrives on deception and incompetence. Ndaka added that he has supported the county government for two and a half years but cannot see any benefit.

“I will be writing to the Speaker today! I refuse to sit in silence while my people suffer,” he thundered.

“Just the other day, the Sub-County Administrator and I visited Kyaume Dispensary and found medical supplies had arrived. But within hours, the drugs vanished like a cruel joke played on the sick! Am I here to rubber-stamp lies? If holding this position means turning a blind eye to injustices, then I want no part of it!” Ndaka added.

The firebrand MCA accused the County Government of deliberately sabotaging development, revealing that despite announcing KSh 1.2 million for road repairs, not a single road has been fixed.

“Where is the money? Where is the work? Our roads remain impassable while those in power make empty promises!” he charged.

The county lawmaker also lashed out at the coordinators appointed by the county government, whom he accused of undermining elected leaders.

“Tala Ward elected an MCA, I was chosen by the people to serve them, yet these so-called coordinators are being planted to frustrate us. We will not be silenced!” he roared.

Despite his frustration with the county government, Ndaka made it clear that his loyalty to the Wiper Party and its leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, remained unshaken.
