Owning a successful Freight and logistics company in the Country, Peter Muthoka is among the richest people from the Ukambani region and Kenya at large.
The alumni of the European Business School Cambridge is among the people who influence Ukambani politics.
In the 2017 General elections, Muthoka is said to have bankrolled Jubilee Party Parliamentary candidates.
As a Jubilee point man in Ukambani, Muthoka in 2020 tried to woo Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and rumors emerged that he would back Kalonzo’s 2022 presidential bid.
A few months later he reportedly abandoned the former Vice President not to be seen with him again just after Building Bridges Initiative rally in Kitui county.
In 2017, he was listed in Forbes magazine among the richest from Kenya alongside Chris Kirubi, Uhuru Kenyatta, Daniel Moi, and SK Macharia among others.
His investments include Acceler global logistics which makes over $50 million profit annually and Hellmann worldwide logistics Kenya.
Acceler Global which was founded in 1991 has employed over 5000 people.
In 2016 Muthoka received an award from the World Customs Organization recognizing his entrepreneurship.
He is also among the top ten Safaricom investors. Muthoka was the largest shareholder at CMC before selling his shares to the company for close to 2 billion shillings.
The business genius also owns Trans-global Cargo Company which specializes in freight forwarding trucking and transport storage solutions.
