Number of Students benefitting from Matungulu NG-CDF bursaries

More than 18,000 students from Matungulu Subcounty will benefit from the NG-CDF bursaries.

This was revealed by Matungulu Constituency MP Stephen Mutinda Mule during the launch of bursary allocation for students. The function was held in the Matungulu NG-CDF office in Tala.

Mule added that he was going to be disbursing bursaries worth 45 Million to students.

“We have 18,000 students benefitting from our office and are in school, today we have disbursed a cheque of 45 Million that is aimed at ensuring that our students have ample time during their studies,” MP Mule said.

The legislator further asked principals not to send form four students home for school fees saying that he would liaise with the parents to ensure all are catered for.

“My principals do not send any form four student home for fees. I will speak to the parents and see what we can do. I want my form four students in school,” Mule added,

He further asked CS for National Treasury and Economic planning to ensure that all NG-CDF money is disbursed before the end of the financial year.

He noted that failure to disburse the money, they will ensure that Parliament does not pass the supplementary budget.

“Stop playing games with CDF money, we agreed that CDF money would be released and now every constituency has gotten 35 million, I want to tell you that the money doesn’t belong to you so release it,” said Mule.

“I want to ask my fellow colleagues not to pass the supplementary budget without CDF money, we need to use that money for development,” he claimed.

Mule in the function also took a swipe at MPs going to Statehouse for development. Missed the story? check it out below;
