Matungulu MP Sponsors needy girl after Mauvoo News highlighted her plight

Matungulu MP Stephen Mutinda Mule has come to the aid of a Bright student from Kalie in Matungulu Subcounty who had requested to be helped to join Form One.

Peace Mueni scored 398 marks in her KCPE 2022 but did not have the capability to join Form one due to her family background.

Mauvoo News together with the office of the MP visited the family today after highlighting her plight. She was given assurance by the MP that she would join Form One in Asumbi Girls High School where she had been called.

Speaking to Mauvoo News, Peace could not hide her joy saying that through that sponsorship she was going to achieve her dream of becoming an accountant in the future.

“I did my class 8 and scored 398 marks at Syokimau Blessed Assurance Academy where I was given a scholarship from class 7 to class 8. When I got a calling letter to High School, MP Mule promised to take me to school, and am glad I will be able to achieve my dream,” said Peace.

Personal Assistant to the MP, John Kyalo revealed that they got the case and the legislator promised to take the girl to school.

“Today he has assured me that he will treat this child as his own and he will sponsor her From Form 1 to Form 4 using his own money,” he said.

The girl is set to join Asumbi Girls High School, a National Girls’ school located in Homabay county.
