Needy Matungulu family seeks help to educate girl who scored 398 in KCPE

A bright student from Kalie in Matungulu sub-county of Machakos county is requesting help to continue with her education.

Peace Mueni sat her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education at Syokimau blessed Academy and scored 398 marks.

The third born in her family told Mauvoo News that her family doesn’t have the funds to pay for her high school.

She said that even in primary school she was being sponsored by the school administration.

“My parents started struggling after the Covid-19 pandemic and have not gotten back on their feet. I’m so sure they can’t afford to school me because they have other children to take care of,” Mueni said.

Her father Joseph Mutuku revealed that they wish to see their daughter achieve her dreams of joining Pangani Girls and later becoming an accountant.

However, their hope is dimming and they rely on well-wishers to help their daughter join High school.

“We don’t want her to become a maid because of the lack of school fees. Every parent wishes to see their children prosper but we can only do very little. We do menial jobs that enable us to provide basic needs,” Joseph said.

Well-wishers can reach Mueni’s father Joseph Mutuku on 0719736315.
