Ngilu and Kibwana rebuked for eyeing Azimio Chief Minister position offered to Kalonzo

Kaiti MP Joshua Kimilu has rebuked Ukambani leaders wanting to be given the chief minister position earlier offered to Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka in the Azimio coalition.

Speaking in his constituency Kimilu dismissed the leaders as selfish people who are only concerned about themselves but not the Kamba community.

He called upon the Kamba community to be calm until Kalonzo gives his last resort.

“Whatever direction Kalonzo will show us, we will take as the Kamba community. People should stop going round in a bid to gain popularity by claiming they want the position that Kalonzo rejected,” Kimilu said.

“Ngilu and Kibwana are leaders who are concerned about their stomachs only and it should be known that Kalonzo has the interest of the community at heart and as of now in Ukambani there is no gap in leadership and we are sure we will be in the government,” he added.

On Saturday, Makueni Governor Prof. Kivutha Kibwana said that he was ready to occupy the Chief minister position that was turned down by Kalonzo.

The Governor noted that it was not a position for Kalonzo but for the community and since Kalonzo had rejected any leader from the region can take it.
