Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna Monday launched the bursary issuance for the financial year 2023/2024 in Mwingi West. During the launch, the MP gave Kiomo Secondary a school bus.
The launch was graced by Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro who has been an advocate for education development in his own constituency.
Speaking during the launch Nguna said the bursary issuance holds the promise of a brighter future for all students within the constituency and enhances a lasting impact on education and community development.
“I promise each parent will receive a bursary for his or her child and I will continue working for the Mwingi West constituency.” Said Nguna
Nguna further promised apart from the education sector he would continue improving infrastructure within the constituency.
In his remarks, Kiharu member of parliament Ndindi Nyoro encouraged Kiomo students to work hard and have a role model to mentor them while they are studying.
Nyoro promised Kiomo secondary 2.5 million to establish a laboratory and 200,000 to furnish form four classrooms with tiles.
The launch was graced by Kitui women representative Irene Kasalu, MCA Kiomo Antony Neymar, and Tharaka MCA Muthengi Ndangara.
