Machakos Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi has said that the leaders in Machakos will fight to ensure people do not lose land with disputes.
Speaking in Kangundo, Mwangangi said that Portland cement land, Koma, and Kamulu Drumville among other parcels of land in dispute are denying residents of the county the opportunity to invest and benefit from their investment.
According to the DG, the County Government is putting in place strategies and measures to ensure land grabbers have no place in the county.
“The latest one is Portland but I want to promise you that we will not relent until our people get justice and their land back because all that land belongs to the Kamba people,” said Mwangangi.
Mwangangi had attended the silver Jubilee celebrations of Father Kenneth Kitheka at holy spirit catholic church in Kangundo accompanied by the area Member of the county Assembly Dickson Musyoki.
He also urged parents to take care of their children during this long holiday. He noted that there are tragedies involving children like kidnapping, drowning, teenage pregnancies, and drug abuse.
“If your parents did not take good care of you, you would not be here today if Father Ken was not looked after by the people and the community we would not be gathered here today so it is essential to ensure your children are safe during the holiday,” he advised.
