Mwala politician and Machakos Contractor’s chairman Kilei Mutinda has slammed Mwala MP Eng. Vincent Musyoka Musau for supporting the hiking of fuel prices.
Mutinda told the press that it is detestable for leaders elected to represent and fight for local Mwananchi to support measures that are straining their pockets.
He noted that the leaders should correct the government when it is doing wrong rather than praise it just to be on the safe side.
“We need leaders who can tell the king he is naked not clapping for him even when he fails,” Kilei said.
“Like Kawaya who was elected by the people of Mwala is busy supporting fuel price hike yet he was elected to fight for them and ensure they get development, “he added.
He also noted that if the 2023 finance bill is passed in Parliament then Kenyans will continue to suffer.
A day ago, Mwala lawmaker Vincent Musau alias Kawaya supported the fuel price hike saying that it was necessary to curb cartels in the fuel sector.
