A needy family in Ngangani, Mwala Sub-county, Machakos County is appealing to well-wishers to help their child join Form one.
Mwatu Collins Mutuku sat for his KCPE in 2022 at Ngangani Primary School and he scored 386 marks but to date, he has not joined Form one.
Collins received a calling letter to join Form one at Kitui School.
Collins is the third and last born in their family. His sibling finished Form Four last year and his other brother is at Mumbuni High School.
Speaking to Mauvoo News, his father Mwatu Ngundo said that Mutuku was his lastborn and he is not able to take him to school due to lack of funds.
The father of three asked well-wishers to assist his son to achieve his dream to join Form one and study like other children.
“My plea is to well-wishers to help me take my son to school. I don’t have anywhere to get money from as I just do menial jobs and I have two other children to take care of,” Mwatu said.
“I have applied for scholarships in several places but in vain. Now my son is at home and I do not want him to lose hope because he did an effort to ensure that he has passed in his KCPE,” he added.
If anyone is willing to assist the family can reach Mwatu Ngundo – 0707376296 or David Teta Muthui, Headteacher Ngangangi Primary School-0726276216.
