Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Dr. Alfred Mutua has clapped back at Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti over interference claims.
Speaking during an interview at Mbaitu FM, Mutua dismissed the claims, alleging that Governor Wavinya was angry with him after he refused to order his MCAs to support the impeachment of Speaker Anne Kiusya.
The former Machakos Governor dismissed claims that he has been interfering in the County Government’s issues.
“Governor Wavinya called me and asked me that my MCAs should support her, i told her i had already asked them to work with the Government previously, she said No, they want to impeach the Speaker, i told her i cannot support impeachment of the Speaker as the Governor would have been the next to be impeached. When you dig a pit for someone, make sure you can fit there.” Mutua said.

“I was so shocked when Wavinya said I’m interfering with her administration, since I left Machakos, you have never even seen me there. People tell me to come to T tot, hold a baraza at People’s park, I left Machakos so Wavinya can rule. I suspect this is because I refused the impeachment of the Speaker, ” He added.
According to Mutua, there was no justification to impeach the Machakos Speaker as he had not done anything wrong and he wouldn’t support it.
