Makueni unveils first of its kind digital projects monitoring and tracking portal

Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Junior Tuesday unveiled the first of its kind Digital Projects Monitoring and Tracking portal.

The portal will give Makueni residents and other development stakeholders real-time information about the status of County projects.

According to a press release by the Governor Press Service, the website will showcase the progress of projects at each stage from Cabinet Paper approval by the governor, allocated budget, procurement, contract award, completion, and location of the projects.

The portal also features an engagement platform to provide both general and project-based feedback from the public. The portal can be accessed via https://pmts.makueni.go.ke

“Our people, partners, and stakeholders will have a portal to check project status in every ward, funds allocated, and utilization. When we go to the grassroots for public participation we are always asked about the status of the projects. We will go to the meetings with our computers to show the status of projects, and contractors, if stalled or ongoing. The portal also has a slot for projects yet to begin and the stalled.” Governor Mutula while addressing the press said.

“Using this portal, all our residents will see what is ongoing in headquarters. Headquarters is not the governor it’s just where we put the remaining funds after allocation to wards.” Mutula added.
