Makueni: University student begins journey on foot to see Sonko

Felix Kilonzo a Student at Moi University is walking on foot to Nairobi to see Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.

Kilonzo who hails from Kaunguni, Kibwezi told the press that he wants to see Sonko to ask him to pay for his University fees so that he can complete his degree.

He began the journey 2 days ago from Mbui Nzau and addresses the media in Emali town.

Kilonzo narrated that he left school due to school fees arrears 2 years ago where he was studying Communications and Public Relations.

He then came back home where he sunk into drug abuse before coming to a realization that his life was heading nowhere.

“After leaving school I joined political campaigns but it did not work then I began using drugs like Miraa, and alcohol among others. I want to go back to school and finish my studies so that I can make something out of my life,” Kilonzo said.

“I know Sonko will help with my education and that is why I began this journey. I’m tired of using drugs and being idle. It’s my wish to also help other youths bound by the shackles of drugs in the county,” he added.

He noted that by the end of Wednesday, he plans to ensure he reaches Malili and spend the night there.
