Tala Livestock traders cry to Governor Wavinya

Livestock Traders from Tala Town in Matungulu Sub-county have asked the County Government of Machakos to improve the Livestock market in the area.

Speaking to Mauvoo News, the livestock dealers said that despite paying their taxes to the County Government they still were trading in a pathetic environment.

Led by their Chairman Michael Ngao they said that there were no shades in the market to shelter them from rain and that the market had no toilet thus making it hard for them to work.

“We have been going through a lot as traders of livestock in Tala town, we do not have a shed in place and we are being rained on during this rainy season,” said Michael.

“We have talked to Wavinya and MCA Ndaka concerning our plight as traders but we have not gotten any help. Our customers go to the market to use the toilets because we have none here. We are suffering yet we are taxpayers,” he added.

They even decried that there was a stream in the market and during the rainy season the stream fills up and it gets hard for them to cross.

The traders now want to be included in the County Budget being allocated to municipalities saying that they ought to be recognized and have a conducive environment where they can transact business well.
