Makueni County Assembly Speaker Douglas Mbilu was released on a bond of Ksh.150,000 or a cash bail of Ksh 70,000.
Appearing before Makindu Law Courts magistrate Jacklin Karani, Mbilu denied the charges against him.
Mbilu who was being represented by Kitui County Assembly Speaker Kinengo Katisya had been arraigned over allegations that he was involved in the planning of demos in Emali along Mombasa Road.
According to the defense team led by Speaker Kinengo Katisya, it was unwise for the Mbilu to be denied communications given that it was his constitutional right.
On Monday, Mbilu surrendered to police in Wote police station where he got arrested.
This comes days after Makueni County Assembly Deputy Majority leader was also arrested in connection to the anti-government demos that were experienced in the country last week.
