Japheth Musyoka was born in 1968 in Kithangathini village, Kilungu ward- Kaiti constituency. He studied at Kilungu Day where he sat for KCE and proceeded to Kathiani for KACE.
Japheth thereafter joined the university of Nairobi for a Bachelor’s Degree in Economy and Sociology. After graduating he taught as an untrained teacher in Ilima and joined the office of the Auditor General where he has worked from then to date.
In his last assignment, he audited KRA on tax compliance in coastal regions and counties such as Taita Taveta, Kilifi, Kwale, Mombasa, and Lamu.
Japheth is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in criminology and social order. In 2017 he vied for MP in Kaiti.
During his vetting by the Makueni County Assembly appointments committee, he promised to establish the village councils as a matter of priority so as to complete the devolution structure. He committed to MCAs that he will enshrine public participation up to the village level and ensure the effectiveness of extension workers.
Japheth also vowed to have inclusive public participation that also factors People living with disabilities and those with special conditions that may not enable them to come for the meetings and also enhance civic education.
Japheth is worth 25 million comprising land, shares, small businesses, and assets.
