Dr. Consolata Mutisya – Machakos Devolution CEC nominee was born in Mitaboni in 1971. She is the fifth born in a family of nine. She schooled at Kalikya in Mitaboni and sat for CPE in 1983. She later joined Mbooni Girls and did Form 4 in 1987 and proceeded to Machakos Girls for A levels.
Consolata thereafter joined Moi University for a Bachelor of Education Degree. She graduated in 1990 and was posted as a teacher in Misyani girls, and later transferred to Kabete National Polytechnic.
In 2009, she joined the University of Nairobi for a Masters Degree in Information and Communication and graduated in 2010.
In 2012, She enrolled for a Ph.D. in Information and Communication at the University of Nairobi and graduated in 2018. Dr. Consolata also worked as a lecturer from 2012 to 2021 at the university and St. Paul’s university.
If approved to be CEC, she promised to assist Governor Wavinya to come up with policies to help SEKEB work better. Dr. Consolata also promised to bring in standard operating procedures for every department to uphold public participation.
She also expressed the intention to establish village councils to enable the executive to know what is happening at the grassroots and work closely with MCAs.
