Makueni County Commissioner fires warning shot at sex pests

Makueni County Commissioner Henry Wafula has promised to deal with sex pests targeting school girls in the county.

The commissioner who just reported stated that anyone involved in the defilement scandal at Kyaani mixed secondary school in Machinery, Kibwezi sub-county will be arrested and charged.

He noted that the authorities are actively pursuing the main suspect in the crime identified as Peter Mutuku aka Ngiti and will be prosecuted to serve as a lesson to those with similar traits.

“I want to assure Makueni locals that we will do our best on matters of Gender-based Violence(GBV). We have made it clear that such actions cannot be tolerated. I have come from a place where we were dealing with bandits and I can’t allow criminals defiling children to walk scot-free,” Wafula said.

He warned that the law would not be lenient to anyone found culpable of such heinous acts and urged the public to help unearth such incidents.

Wafula noted that he is working closely with other leaders in the county to ensure this vice ends.

“The doctor who procured abortion on the student has been arrested we are pursuing the man named Ngiti meaning dog in the Kamba language, we are hunting for him, he can run but cannot hide. His last location was in Kabarnet but let him know that no matter how long it takes we will find him,” said the commissioner.
