Machakos county Senator Agnes Kavindu Muthama says that the controversial Kilifi Cult Leader preacher Paul Mackenzie should be killed just like the way he has allegedly killed his followers.
Speaking at Matungulu Sub county while donating relief food to the residents, Senator Kavindu said that the preacher’s teachings in which his followers are supposed to starve to death so as to meet Jesus Christ are not Biblical.
She urged the Government to ensure that the Good News International preacher faces the law, recommending that he should be murdered the same way he has been allegedlly killing his followers.
“Spome of these preachers should stop tainting the church’s image. I urge the government to ensure that Paul Mackenzie faces the wrath of the law. The Bible says he who kills by the sword should also die by sword”, she added.
Mackenzie is accused of brainwashing his followers to starve death so as to meet Jesus Christ. Some of the followers have died, and their bodies buried at Shakahola Forest, a 800 acre land forest that belongs to the preacher.
Detectives launched investigations and so far, more than 100 bodies have been exhumed.
On Thursday, April 27th, police also arrested Pastor Ezekiel Odero of New Life Prayer Center, who is believed to be Mackenzie’s accomplice. He is accused of ferrying bodies of those who died in his church to Shakahola through the help of Mackenzie.
