Muthwani MCA Dominic Maitha has threatened to table an impeachment Motion against Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti.
Speaking in Mavoko during bursary cheque distribution, Maitha said there was nothing to show in his ward despite taxes collected daily.
“You are not exceptional, When Governor Kawira disrespected Meru MCAs she is now at home. It is not too late for me to table an impeachment motion against Wavinya Ndeti.” Maitha said.
“In Muthwani ward, every single day through quarries and cess we collect almost 5 million shillings, in a month it’s 150 million. In a year it is more than a billion and we have not factored in the equitable share, what is it that we the people of Joska can pride ourselves in for 3 years?”Maitha posed.
The MCA asked locals to stop paying taxes to the County Government alleging that the Governor is now a tourist who is spending time outside the country.
“Do not pay taxes to the county government of Machakos from tomorrow unless Joska mulika mwizi is fixed. There is no sparing people. This is not someone’s money and we are not going to beg Governor Wavinya to work.” The MCA went on.
“She is now a tourist, today in South Africa, tomorrow in America, the other day Uk, i don’t see Governor Mutula going anywhere. Auditor general says the county Government has spent over 400 million for travel in less than 6 months.” Maitha added.
