Machakos MCA speaks after losing 24 Dorper sheep in Mitaboni accident

Muthwani ward MCA Dominic Maitha on Friday lost 24 Dorper sheep in an accident in Kenol, Mitaboni.

According to the MCA, a lorry that was running away from County revenue officers caused the accident that resulted in the death of the sheep valued at over 600,000 Ksh.

Taking to Facebook MCA Dominic Maitha said, “It’s a sad day…….when a careless driver who was running away from County revenue officer’s decided to render me poor along Kenol-Komarock road by killing my 24 pure dopper sheep served and ready to deliver anytime worth over 600k. Sad enough 3 of them delivered at the scene after the incident.”

The accident resulted in a huge backlash from locals who called on drivers to exercise caution and be responsible.

Last week, Maitha also took to Facebook to thank Governor Wavinya for showing them an example on matters of farming.

“A moment with the livestock leaves very relaxing and therapeutic memories and moments. Took time to tour my farm and graze today. The rains have been a big blessing. Farming is the way to go. Asante Sana my Governer Hon Wavinya Ndeti for challenging us. We will soon be where you are. Pole pole tu…..tutafika.” He said.
