Machakos Health CECM refutes claims hospitals don’t have drugs

Machakos health boss Daniel Yumbya has slammed those claiming there are no drugs in Machakos county hospitals.

Speaking after visiting Kangundo, Kimiti and Kathiani level four hospitals Yumbya noted that there are people on social media tarnishing the county service delivery by lying that there are no drugs or essentials in hospitals.

He termed the actions as political and called upon Machakos residents not to be swayed by such claims.

However, he urged patients visiting these hospitals to report to him or the governor if they find no drugs in hospitals for action to be taken.

“We have seen that these hospitals have drugs contrary to claims we have seen on social media that there are no gloves or drugs. Our hospitals are running smoothly and I would like to advise anyone visiting a hospital and finding no drug to call me or the governor, “Yumbya said.

He congratulated health workers for their dedication to quality service delivery to the residents of Machakos.

Dr. Yumbya disclosed plans to employ more health workers to fill gaps left by those who retired or resigned by April next year.
