Former Machakos First Lady Lilian Nganga has landed in trouble with netizens over her remarks on hurling a shoe at President William Ruto during a political rally in Kuria West, Migori County on May 5th,2025.
Taking to X, Ng’ang’a criticized the act, describing it as an unproductive display of frustration. These remarks did not go over well with netizens.
“Wrong! It achieves nothing. There are always better ways to air frustration, anger, displeasure, etc,” read Lilian’s post.
Her post sparked widespread discussion across social media, with users split between support and criticism.
Some netizens accused her of being disconnected from the hardships faced by ordinary Mwananchi. Some critics even questioned her motivations, suggesting she was seeking relevance or attention.
