Former Machakos County First Lady Lilian Nganga has accused Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua of threatening her life alleging to have undergone gender-based violence in the hands of Mutua.
Addressing the press on Thursday together with her lawyer Philip Murgor, Lilian stated that, “On 8th September Mr. Mutua accompanied by his police bodyguard, Martin Nzinghi arrived at my apartment parking lot at Kileleshwa, Nairobi and without my knowledge or consent and using a spare key which he had illegally obtained, drove away from my personal motor vehicle KBY 186 G, a car which had been fully registered in my name since 2014. “
“Mr. Mutua proceeded to fraudulently transfer the ownership of the car in the logbook into his name and thereafter sold the vehicle to a third party. I filed a case which is pending in court so I will not comment further on it, except to ask the purchaser to be on notice that I maintain my claim to ownership.”She added.
Lilian further alleged that Governor Mutua had Transferred shares of Ndash Enterprise Limited which is the hotel company to his sister Ann Mbandi Mutua.
She further accused the Governor of threatening her even after their separation in which Lilian stated that she wants to move on with his life.
Lilian also claims that he vowed to take all the property that she was entitled to during their marriage since he is a very powerful and important person in the country.
“I am publicly requesting Mr.Mutua to immediately return my property, cease threatening my life, and those around me and stop his arrogance, wanton abuse of power, manipulation, and bullying. He needs to get a life and move on.” Lilian went on.
She appealed to the Inspector General of Police and the Director of Public Prosecution to expedite the investigation and charge Governor Mutua since the threats have caused her psychological trauma and those close to him.
In August, Machakos First lady Lilian Nganga announced that she had divorced and ended her relationship with Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua. Lilian has since started dating Artist Juliani.
