Popular Kamba Benga artist Alex Kasau Katombi has announced a housewarming party on Saturday 10th August 2024 from 10:00 am in his home at Kisasi, Kitui county.
According to him, the house cost an astounding 25 million to put together, and construction lasted around six months.
“The house took 6 months to complete, it cost me around 20-25 million. It was my dream house for 10 years.”Katombi said.
Alex Kasau informed that fans will be granted free entry during the day. However, during the night attendees will be required to pay a fee. This primarily is to be able to control the crowd.
“The event will start during the daytime with lots of entertainment. A live DJ will also be present to spice things up. The event will be free during the day but a fee will be introduced to control the crowd during the night.”Katombi added.
The artists also mentioned that other artists hailing from the Ukambani will be in attendance.
“All Kamba artists are welcome to the event. There are almost 2,000 of us so it would be impossible to fit that number on the event poster. But all of you are welcome.”He went on.
He further highlighted that he has not invited any politician because he is not affiliated with any party or politician. He however said that he has not practically barred any politician from attending the event.
“I’m not political so I have not invited politicians. However, any politician interested in joining us is welcome.” He went on.
