Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has advised Kenyans to ignore leaders criticizing the ongoing bipartisan talks between Azimio and Kenya Kwanza coalitions.
Kalonzo who leads the Azimio delegation team shamed the critics, assuring Kenyans that the the bipartisan talks will bear fruits.
“We continue to reiterate that this is a serious national work. If ever there was a moment for this country to come together it is now. And we are determined as a team to make sure that happens and we continue to tell Kenyans to ignore the naysayers. There have always been those who feel threatened for whatever reason by something so illustrious because this is wonderful work and we going to move very fast”, Kalonzo said.
The Wiper party leader went ahead to state that the two teams have agreed on a framework that will ensure that they come up with a report and review of various laws within 60 days of deliberation.
“A lot of work will be happening I think for some time and we have agreed on the work plan the dates and everything and when to have stakeholder engagement for example that is clear. So we are ready to sign, we are ready to go. A lot more work remains to be done”, he added.
The bipartisan talks co–chaired by Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwa and Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka officially began yesterday. The National Delegate Committee has settled on five issues of discussion, including the cost of living which has been listed as a sub-topic in one of the agenda.
