Kalonzo: Businessman Pius Musembi might have been murdered

Wiper Party leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka claims Mavoko businessman Pius Musembi popularly known as ‘chairman” was murdered and not involved in an accident.

Pius Musembi, a mogul and resident of Mavoko was involved in an accident two weeks ago near his home at GreenPark estate along the busy Mombasa-Nairobi highway.

According to the Wiper party leader, the injuries Musembi sustained after the accident did not warrant his death.

“I would like to request Commissioner Nyange, as a friend to the family of Pius Musembi, kindly investigate the death of Chairman since I suspect foul play in his death,” Kalonzo said.

“I have heard from his friends that before his death, he had received a series of numerous threats which he recorded statement with the police, kindly find out the criminal behind this,” He added.

Kalonzo reiterated that a criminal case file is not sealed unless the case has been finalized.

The businessman popularly known as chairman was laid to rest at his home in Kisioni village, in Sultan Hamud, Kilome constituency Makueni county.

He left behind a widow Felister Ndunge and three children as well as three grandchildren.

Among the leaders who attended the burial are; Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, former Kitui Governor Charity Kaluki Ngilu, the three Ukambani Senators, Machakos and Makueni Women Reps, MPs among other dignitaries.
