Makueni Governor Prof. Kivutha Kibwana has been cautioned over his recent attacks to Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka. While speaking to the media Friday, Makueni County Wiper Chairman Francis Mutuku also dared Kivutha to attack Kalonzo again saying that they will retaliate. “Nienda umea mathungye kalonzo ingi…hata sisi tutarudisha mkono.”

In the first County Assembly of Makueni, Francis was the majority leader and the MCA Kilili Kalamba Ward. He added that the party had taken time being built to a national party and they would not allow one person to bring it down.

Mutuku warned of dire consequences if the attacks continue. He also called on Wiper party supporters and the Kamba community not to allow themselves to be divided by people who did not have a good motive.

Kivutha Kibwana’s Muungano party merged with the Wiper party in the run-up to the 2017 elections and he was appointed as Wiper chairman. Last week, Kivutha called for an audit of Kalonzo Musyoka from when his predecessor Mulu Mutisya passed on.

This move has elicited debate in Ukambani social media platforms with wiper die-hards attacking Kibwana over the remarks. Kivutha had last year indicated that he would not run for the presidency and that he would retire after his current term as Governor.
