The office of the registrar of persons has been asked to give Identification Cards to Matungulu youth who applied for them and are yet to receive them.
Speaking to Mauvoo News, Matungulu MP aspirant Philip Munyao has said that most youths have registered and yet they have not gotten their IDs to enable them to register as voters.
“I Would like to ask the office of the registrar of persons to give IDs to our youths who have registered and not been able to get. This will aid them in registering as voters during this period the IEBC has rolled out the registration again,” he said.
Dr. Philip also called upon NCIC to ensure that they tame politicians spreading hate speech utterances while campaigning to ensure that they don’t bring chaos during the elections scheduled for August this year.
“I would like to ask the NCIC to caution politicians not to conduct chaotic campaigns as well as utterances that can bring chaos, we want peaceful elections,” He added.
IEBC has rolled out the registration of voters exercise scheduled from the 17th of January to the 6th of February.
