Final IEBC Results for Makueni Governor, Senator, and Women Representative

The IEBC on Saturday, 13th August announced the 2022 results for Makueni Governor, Senator, and Women Representative at the county tallying center.

The Gubernatorial race attracted 5 candidates. Mutula Kilonzo Jnr of the Wiper party won with 214,088 votes followed by the outgoing Kibwezi West MP Dr. Patrick Musimba who garnered 63,252 votes.

David Wambua Masika of ODM had 8,378 votes, Prof. Emmanuel Mutisya 2,929 votes and ex-military officer Anderson Kaloki got 843 votes.

The senatorial race attracted 6 candidates. Daniel Kitonga Maanzo the outgoing Makueni MP from Wiper won with 177,273 votes followed by Governor Kibwana of Muungano who garnered 59,034 votes. Patrick Mbau Malika of NARC Kenya had 36,676 votes and Robert Kisyula of UDA had 12,901.

Victoria Nzisa of ODM had 3,233 votes and Florence Nzula Ndiliku of Jubilee was last with 1,433 votes.

The Women Rep position had 10 candidates. Rose Museo of Wiper who was defending her seat for the third term won with 116,599 votes followed by Wavinya Nzioka of Muungano with 56,908 votes. Betty Kingoo of ODM was third with 35,112 votes.

Former nominated MCA Mbula Mutula who was running as an independent candidate had 28,960 votes, and Adelina Mwau of UDA had 17,626 votes. Adelina is the outgoing Deputy Governor. Jacinta Wanza of NARC had 9,922 votes while Jane Kitundu of Maendeleo Chap Chap got 8,939 votes.

Dorcas Musengy’a of GTAP had 7,627 votes, Damaris Maweu of ANC 4,642 votes, and Grace Mwewa of CCU 3,080 votes.
