Joseph Mwenda alias DJ. Joe Mfalme, a renowned DJ has been arrested alongside three others for allegedly beating a police officer from Kiambu County to death.
Mfalme is currently in custody at Kabete Police Station pending further investigation into the tragic event.
The assault incident took place after the officer was reportedly involved in a “non-injury traffic accident” around 4 am within the Kikuyu market, as detailed in a police report.
Identified as Inspector Felix Kelian, the officer succumbed to his injuries on Friday while undergoing treatment at Nairobi West Hospital. His medical treatment was aimed at addressing abdominal pains and other injuries sustained during the purported beating.
Detectives handling the case have revealed that they are actively pursuing additional suspects in connection with the incident, including a woman who was allegedly present at the scene.
