Inside President Ruto’s 4 Day Ukambani Tour

President William Samoei Ruto will begin a four day development tour of the Ukambani region on Wednesday 12th November.

The visit will focus on major road projects and ongoing housing developments across Makueni, Kitui and Machakos counties.

The tour starts on 12 November in Makueni County. The President will commission the Mikuyu Bridge in Kilome. He will then launch the Emali- Ukia Road in Kibwezi West. Later, he will inspect the Wote Affordable Housing Project in Makueni Constituency.

On 13 November the President moves to Kitui County. His first stop will be the Kamuwongo- Kandwia Road in Mwingi North. He will then inspect the Kwasiku -Migwani- Mbondoni Road in Mwingi West.

The day will also feature the launch of the Ikutha -Mutha Road in Kitui South and the Chuluni- Nzombe Mwitika Road in Kitui East. Ruto will also commission Ithookwe Stadium and the Kitui Airstrip in Kitui Central.

The tour will continue on 14 November in Machakos County. The President will launch the Kangundo- Mwala Road in Kangundo and the Kivandini- Miseleni Road in Mwala. He will also commission the Machakos Affordable Housing Project in Machakos Town.

The four day programme will end on Saturday with a leaders meeting. The President was scheduled to visit the region late October but postponed the tour after the demise of Raila Odinga.
