Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse has called on Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to work with President William Ruto, saying such cooperation would benefit the people of Ukambani.
Speaking in Mavoko Constituency, Mutuse described President Ruto as a strategic and experienced politician from whom Kalonzo could learn.
He advised the former Vice President to reconsider his political path and engage with the current administration to bring development to the region.
“What I can advise Kalonzo is that instead of waiting to fail again, he should lead his people to the president. This region is poor and needs serious support from the government,” Mutuse stated.
He added that Kalonzo should be humble, join hands with Ruto, and study his political strategy, especially after the president defied the odds to win the 2022 election.
“Ruto campaigned alone and defeated Raila Odinga—a former Prime Minister, Kalonzo himself, and even Uhuru Kenyatta, who was a sitting president supported by the entire government. Now that Raila is also supporting Ruto, how do you expect him to lose?” Mutuse posed.
The MP maintained that aligning with the government would bring greater development opportunities to the Ukambani region.
