Gospel singer Justina Syokau sparked a heated exchange on Sunday when she took her ailing son to Bishop Ben Kiengei’s JCM Church for prayers.
What was meant to be a moment of healing soon turned into a surprising public scolding, leaving churchgoers and online followers stunned.
In a TikTok video that quickly gained traction, Bishop Kiengei is seen praying over Syokau’s son, noting the child’s visible improvement.
“You can see his eyes regaining color,” he remarked, crediting the church’s prayers for the boy’s progress.
But the mood shifted when Kiengei abruptly turned his attention to Syokau, accusing her of being the cause of her son’s struggles.
In a pointed reprimand, Kiengei suggested that Syokau’s frequent online feuds and harsh words toward others had brought “pain and sickness” to her son.
“You are to blame for what he’s going through,” he declared. “Please, stop fighting people.”
The Bishop further revealed that Syokau had recently gone live on social media to publicly criticize him when his church faced internal issues.
“I listened to your live and blocked my ears,” Kiengei said, adding that despite the offense, he had chosen to forgive her in private.
While listening to the lecture Justina could only nod and agree to her mistake with a remorseful face.
