Drama is unfolding days after US-based doctor Abednecho Katue was spotted cozying up with popular content creator Joan Mutheu.
The internet was ablaze with speculations, and just when the gossip couldn’t get any juicier, Katue’s ex-wife, Rebecca Samuel, broke her silence on the matter.
In a fiery Facebook post, Rebecca, who was married to Katue for 18 years set the record straight, dropping some unexpected bombshells.
She revealed that their divorce was finalized on December 12, 2023, and stressed that their split was amicable. But that didn’t stop rumors from swirling after intimate photos of their wedding mysteriously resurfaced online.
“Today I have been forced by circumstances to post a very personal message here. The last few days there have been pictures of my wedding that have been circulating in Kenya and especially Kamba media channels. There have been allegations that I posted those pictures to attack my X husband Abedinecho Kyalo Katue. I just want to clear my name today. I and Abedinecho Katue were married in the year 2005 in Nampa Idaho. We were married for 18 years and our union ended amicably on 12th December 2023 when our divorce was officially declared. The decision to divorce was amicable. We had shared our wedding pictures with friends and family over the years,” she said.
Fans and followers were quick to point fingers, accusing Rebecca of posting the pictures to tarnish Katue’s name, but she firmly denied the claims. “I have never stooped that low,” Rebecca wrote, adding that for the two years they battled in court, she maintained her dignity and privacy.
She pleased for privacy disclosing that the matter is still in court.
“For the 2 years we’ve had court battles I maintained my privacy and respected the process and not a single day I posted anything concerning the divorce or my X husband online. Even though divorce is officially declared, the case is not completely done. I am therefore asking everyone to respect and give me the privacy I deserve and stop the unnecessary attacks on my personal private life,”she noted.
