2 suspects have been arrested after the body of missing British businessman Campbell Scott was discovered in Makongo along the Wote-Machakos road in Makueni County.
Scott, who had traveled to Kenya for business, was reported missing on February 17.
His body was found stuffed in a sack over the weekend by herders, prompting an investigation.
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) arrested a taxi driver and a hotel worker in connection with the murder.
According to investigators, Scott was last seen at a club in Westlands before disappearing.
CCTV footage showed him leaving the JW Marriott Hotel with a man dressed in a white T-shirt and blue jeans before boarding a vehicle.
The taxi driver who transported him that night and a waiter from the club were later detained.
A postmortem examination is set for Tuesday at Makueni Referral Hospital Mortuary as authorities work to unravel the circumstances surrounding Scott’s death.
