10 Machakos County Inspectorate Officers were Thursday arraigned in Machakos Law Courts over the assault and injuring of Kalama Ward MCA Boniface Maeke.
The 10 namely James Mwendwa, Albanus Muli, Joshua Kitolo, David Otieno, Cliff Benson, Simon Musembi, Boniface Musyoka, Evans Mwambi, Alex Wambua, and Jeff Musyoki were arraigned before the Principal Magistrate Mary Otindo.
They were charged with several counts which included robbery with violence, assault, and causing disturbance in court surroundings among others.
According to the statement recorded by MCA Maeke, he said he lost 100,000 Samsung phone worth 150,000 among other personal effects.
The court heard the case through the prosecution and the advocates representing the suspects and ordered that they be detained at Machakos police station as they await further directions Friday at 9.00 am.
