Mwala MP threatens to have Governor Wavinya arrested

Mwala MP Eng. Vincent Musyoka has threatened to have Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti arrested over the assault of Kalama Ward MCA Boniface Maeke by Machakos County inspectorate officers Wednesday.

Speaking in Wamunyu Thursday, Musyoka condemned the incident and rubbished Governor Wavinya’s apologies claiming it had her full blessings.

“You are just crying here and saying we are sorry, we are sorry for what? It is you who has sent them. Do we want a county where your elected MCAs become puppets who just clap for you and if they fail to do so they send people to undress you? Governor, please know your powers are limited and we can invoke Article One of the constitution. ” The Mwala MP Said.

“Your people and the goons that you send we will deal with them to the logical conclusion. If we establish a link between them and you or your people we will also arrest you, governor. You must know that. They are threatening MCAs with inspectorate officers who carry just rungus, we have a national government with firearms… Who do you think you are, we will come for you if this nonsense does not stop.” Musyoka added.

The MP who also doubles up as UDA secretary General questioned why the Governor could not dialogue with MCAs to bring sanity to the County. He said that he was working to get the county to a level before an inspectorate officer is sent by a Governor or chief of staff to arrest someone they will have to think twice.

“If we keep quiet our people will be finished. Everyone is asking what is happening in Machakos. Machakos was the light in Ukambani. We used to see that Mutua had a problem but Muthama told us when he said, ‘wavinya, Wavinya, Wavinya’. No one is interested in her seat. If I’m to be Governor like Wavinya I’d rather not be.” He went on.

Musyoka said he was not interested in the Machakos Governor seat but would not allow MCAs to be harassed.
