Nguna Cup Tournament 22nd edition set to kick off

The Nguna Cup tournament 22nd edition is set to kick off on 31st August. This is according to Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna.

Taking to his Facebook page, Nguna noted that late registration will not be allowed and all players’ details must be captured as per the registration form.

“Double registration of players shall not be entertained. Teams must have full confirmation of players before signing them, “The MP said.

Nguna emphasized there shall be no replacement of players after the vetting process is over.

“Time of residence for non-Mwingi west and Mwingi central is 2 years. Region coordinators shall provide registration forms and tournament rules and please comply.”He urged.

Nguna highlighted some of the prizes to be won during the tournament. In the men’s category, the winner will be allocated 300,000 shillings and runner-up sh 200,000. The second runner’s up will get sh 150,000 and the third runner’s up will get sh 120,000.

Losers at quarters will get 20,000 shillings and losers at round of 16 will be given 10,000 shillings.

In the women’s category, the winner will be awarded 100,000 shillings, the runner’s up sh 80,000, the second runner up 60,000, and the third runner-up 50,000. The quarter-final losers will be awarded 5,000 and all registered teams will get a ball.
