Mercy Mawia’s former colleague Mukamba Mjanja gave a moving tribute at her burial Friday at Nyahururu.
Mjanja informed mourners that he had visited Mercy’s home in Nyahuru and her parents’ home severally because of the friendship that they enjoyed.
“After meeting Mercy I knew there were bad people. I thought everyone was good. But after meeting Mercy, I was able to tell there are good and bad people. She was the first to tell me I’m on Radio alone when I knew I couldn’t be.” Mukamba Mjanja narrated.
“For the first time in heaven, we have a female angel. Mercy parents will be rewarded by God because of giving birth to an angel. Similarly, Mwangi will be blessed because of marrying and having a child with an angel. God will pay you.” He added.
Mukamba Mujanja advised social media users to be responsible telling them at some point people get to see what people do on social media. “They will watch. I and Mercy didn’t use social media to insult people but responsibly, go and check.”
He praised Mercy for discovering the talent in him. “Go well, my sister.” He concluded.
