Matuu MCA raises concerns over ghost projects by Yatta CDF

Matuu MCA Julius Mbili Ndawa has come out swinging, demanding answers over “ghost projects” allegedly carried out under the watch of Yatta MP Robert Basil.

Ndawa alleged that millions of shillings in Constituency Development Funds (CDF) have mysteriously vanished into thin air, funding projects that seem to exist only on paper.

Speaking passionately in Matuu, Ndawa cited recent allocations that left him and the public scratching their heads.

“I’ve seen on social media that Sh.5 million was allocated to a school called Yatta Boys, yet no one can locate this school. The same goes for Yatta Girls it’s just a name on a list,” Ndawa claimed.

He went on to call for urgent investigations, urging the relevant agencies to step up and uncover the truth behind these questionable expenditures.

He added that if indeed public funds have found their way to people’s pockets justice needs to be served.

“Public money shouldn’t just disappear. If someone has pocketed it, they need to face justice. Our community deserves better. These empty promises and ghost projects are a disservice to Yatta’s future,” he said, drawing applause from the crowd.

But his concerns didn’t stop there. Ndawa questioned why Yatta and Masinga had not achieved the long-promised status of a municipality by July 30, as previously pledged.
