Kalonzo bashes Mutua during Wavinya’s swearing-in

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka took a swipe at Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua during the swearing-in of Wavinya Ndeti at Kenyatta stadium Machakos.

Kalonzo told off Mutua for using the county budget to try and bring him down. He expressed his joy that the 3 Ukambani counties are now under Wiper control questioning where the 3 outgoing Governors who were fighting him now are.

“You know i wanted to be president and the talk was the three governors of Ukambani are against me. We (Wiper) now have the 3 Governors and Kenya has taken notice. 12B budget in Machakos instead of helping our people was used to finish Kalonzo. But I am strong and standing here.” Kalonzo said.

“You have taken over from Governor Mutua and i thank him for handing over but he has left pending bills of 2.8B. That means you might just be paying debts. People must understand these things are not easy.” He went on.

Kalonzo asked Wavinya not to dare steal anything from the people of Machakos so that devolution works and not to enrich a few people.

“Do not steal even a coin from Machakos people. If devolution is going to work, we must make sacrifices, anticorruption agency has made you swear that you will operate in a manner that you will preserve every Kenyan shilling so that it goes to lift the welfare of the people and not to enrich a few. Before devolution took root in Nigeria, more than 20 governors had to go to jail. Some of us have made sacrifices to help Kenyans improve only to get people stealing from their own country. “Kalonzo added.

The wiper leader called on patience as Azimio awaits the supreme court verdict calling for justice to be done and the rightful winner to become the 5th president of Kenya. He reiterated his commitment to Konza becoming a city and cleaning up of Athi River and completing of Thwake dam.

He challenged Wavinya to get food under special programs to those who are hungry and get drugs to Machakos county hospitals in the next few months.
