Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr. paid a surprise visit to the Wote Stadium Saturday to assess and address concerns regarding its slow progress.
Joined by the County Executive Committee Member for sports, Nicholas Nzioka, and counterparts from the Roads and Devolution departments, Governor Kilonzo toured the site.
Discussing with the contractor, the governor aimed to gain insights into the reasons contributing to the delayed development.
During the visit, Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr. committed to a thorough investigation of the unresolved issues affecting the stadium’s construction. He assured the public that he would reach out to relevant national authorities to expedite the project’s completion.
He also set a target for its inauguration within the current year.
