Friends and fans mourn Kamba Benga artist Musumaa

Kamba Benga artist Urbanus Mbindyo popularly known as Mbindi Musumaa died on Friday Morning while getting treatment at Makindu Hospital.

Musumaa who was the band leader of the Kyeemba Boys Band until his demise was suffering from liver disease. This comes just a day after one of his friends, Victor Lee posted requesting for wellwishers to help in clearing his medical bill. Musumaa comes from Mbitini ward in Makueni County.

“After posting about our friends’ sickness  Urbanus Musumaa Kyeemba boys I have noted most of his and her friends/fans are willing to support him and want to know where is musumaa admitted and I want to clarify this: Musumaa is admitted at Makindu Hospital and about contributions on those who want to support musumaa on his treatment we will be updating you soon not late than tomorrow on which number you can forward your contributions,” the post from Victor Lee read.

Various people have mourned Musumaa. Below are some of the condolences from fans and friends.

DJ Biado said, “SAD NEWS !!. MUSUMAA IS GONE. I have confirmed the sad news from Mulandi a family member that Musumaa is no more. Let us help each other when one is alive, I never knew that yesterday would be my last time to speak to him.  I had promised to visit him tomorrow and he actually said he’s feeling better. I did my best, Rest in Peace Musumaa we are on our way.”

Victor Lee said, “Rest in Peace my friend Urbanus Musuma, God’s plans are not plans of human beings. I don’t have much to say.”

Lisa Wambua said, “I have been following his story for some days since he was hospitalized in Makindu Hospital. Yesterday evening, I had the courage to ask one Benga musician what Musumaa was suffering from. Today I woke up to sad news of his demise. I love Benga so much and I follow up on the artists more than the gospel ones (msiniite wa shetani please). I have liked his music since he came into the Industry some years ago.
