Ensure National Exams go on smoothly, Education stakeholders urged

Teachers and stakeholders involved in the upcoming National Exams have been urged to ensure zero cases of cheating.

Kibwezi KNUT Secretary General Christopher Kitua said that it is the responsibility of everyone involved to ensure the exam goes on smoothly without any troubles.

He noted that teachers ought to guide candidates waiting to sit for the exams in the remaining weeks.

Kitui called upon teachers, invigilators, and supervisors not to give room for cheating and instead let the candidates score their deserved marks.

“There is a need for vigilance during the exam period beginning from the center managers, education directors, and even school heads all the way to the candidates to ensure there is no mayhem till the last date,” he said.

According to him day schools that may have students coming from flood-prone areas should make arrangements on how the students will be accommodated in school to avoid missing exams due to heavy rain.

Kitua thanked KNEC and the Ministry of Education for increasing exam centers in Kibwezi stating that no exam will arrive late.
