Actor and scriptwriter Abel Mutua’s younger brother Raphael Mbuvi Musyoka aka Rapho was on Friday laid to rest in their rural home in Machakos County.
The 23-year-old was buried in a ceremony that was graced by family members and close friends.
The burial came days after Mutua and his brother Jesse announced the passing of their brother (Rapho) who allegedly took his own life.
On December 31, 2023, Mutua issued a statement, promising to tell his late brother’s story to save those struggling with the same issues he faced before he passed on.
“Thank you so much, Wakurugenzi, for the love you’re sending us. A good number of you know the truth and you have stood with us since my brother became ill. I’ll tell Rapho’s story because I know it’ll save someone and his death won’t be in vain. See you after the burial,” Mutua shared on Twitter.
Speaking during the burial ceremony Jesse aka Lulu Baridi Rapho’s brother explained how he used to discipline his brother physically in 2020 when Rapho arm _twisted their dad who was trying to stop him from using drugs and Jesse took action and disciplined Rapho seriously.
“I want to unconditionally admit that I went physical on my younger brother on several times that is true as I was trying to discipline him,” Jesse said.
Jesse further explained how he tried to help his brother by taking him to the hospital and convincing him to join rehab but Rapho refused.
