The office of Athi River Ward MCA Jeremiah Kaloi has been shut down indefinitely following a brazen raid by suspected thieves. The incident occurred during the early hours of Tuesday, resulting in the theft of office equipment and property.
Jeremiah Kaloi, the affected MCA, lamented that his office had to cease operations due to the severity of the incident. Thieves reportedly left with office property, including chairs and crucial documents, and even removed the main door.
“This unfortunate incident has left the office without essential equipment, necessitating its immediate closure pending further action by the Machakos County Assembly in coordination with the County Government of Machakos,” stated Kaloi.
The closure of the office comes in the wake of repeated raids, though none as damaging as this recent intrusion. Despite the setback, Kaloi assured the public that essential services would continue unabated, urging residents to contact his team directly via phone for assistance.
