National Assembly Lady Spouses Association Commission Project in Mwala

National Assembly Lady Spouses Association(NASLA-K) on Thursday (12th Jan) commissioned a borehole in Kikaso Kyeu in Wamunyu Ward of Mwala Subcounty, Machakos County.

The lady spouses of MPs had accompanied Faith Musyoka wife to Mwala MP Eng. Vincent Musyoka alias Kawaya to commission the borehole.

Addressing the media after commissioning the Kikaso Kyeu community borehole, Faith said that they had partnered with an Association known as Proudly Kenyan and it was a good way of giving back to society.

“We have partnered with Proudly Kenyan and other organizations to ensure that we do projects in our areas. To me, water in the Mwala sub-county has been something close to my heart and through this borehole, we will plant trees and participate in climate change,” Faith Musyoka said.

Her words were echoed by Murang’a County First Lady Mary Wambui Kang’ata who said that this was not the only project done by the Association of the Lady Spouses and that more were going to be done.

“We are grateful for this commission and we are rest assured that this is not the only project but more will come. I know that Proudly Kenyan are having a project in Murang’a. We are grateful to our First Lady Rachel Ruto in her campaign for climate change,”Wambui Kang’ata said.

The borehole will help six villages namely Kithiani, Kinguutheni, Kikaso Kyeu, Miondoni, Mitiluni, and Kyengai.
